Faith Farthing, President and OC Editor
Faith has been a freelance writer and professional editor for over 25 years. In 1999, she founded FinalEyes Communications to offer editorial services to governments, businesses, and non-profit organizations. Her agency of writers, editors, and proofreaders adds professionalism to her clients’ print and digital texts—whether marketing materials, websites, policies and procedure manuals, annual reports, or book projects. Her clients get the right writer or editor on their project, while her writers and editors get matched to projects that align with their passion, education, and expertise.
In 2011, after helping a client produce a book and watching it catapult his professional speaking career to new success, Faith founded Roadie Books, a literary agency and division of FinalEyes. Today, FinalEyes continues to help authors ready their manuscripts for design and then printing, and Roadie Books steps in to represent those select few that Faith chooses to recommend to suitable publishers.
Faith has a master’s degree in communications and technology from the University of Alberta. Her obsessive-compulsive eye for detail and loathing of errors in published material drove her into editing and proofreading, but her love for her clients and passion for quality is what keeps her there.
When she’s not working (and often when she is), Faith is exploring the world. But don’t assume she’s not available to assist. Working from different locations has enabled her to provide even faster project turnaround, as she puts teams in place across time zones to provide “after-hours” service.
“The director of FinalEyes is dedicated to the pursuit of excellence. She consistently performs to her maximum capabilities to ensure that she achieves this objective. And, remarkably as she strives for her best, she is sensitive, caring and genuinely focused on her client’s needs; she is a lovely person. Thank you, FinalEyes Communications Inc. and Roadie Books, for editing, publishing, and continuing to play a significant role in the success of my Canadian historical trilogy.”
Corinne Jeffery, Bestselling Author of the Understanding Ursula Trilogy
“I hired a popular online company that mass-produces books and offers ‘professional editing’ within their package of services. After paying a large chunk for editing, they not only missed many issues, but introduced new errors into my manuscript. A friend then recommended FinalEyes, who fixed the botched job and then advocated for me until the first editor refunded my money. FinalEyes went above and beyond. Now I’m incredibly proud of my book that’s fresh off the press!”
